Corporate Team Event

Teamwork is imbedded in the culture at Half Moon Bay Lifesaving Club so each year we create an opportunity for you to foster teamwork within your organisation. This event is all about having fun with your colleagues and taking on an achievable challenge.

Now is the time to bring your workers together and create some excitement in the office!

Teams of 3. Each team member completes the 1.2km swim. Times tallied. $400 entry includes catered social event on club deck post race.

  • Course maps will be available online the week prior to the event. Please note that they may be subject to change pending weather conditions.

  • 2.5km Swim

  • All participants receive a 10/10 open water swim experience as well as a Jolyn swimming cap.

    The first 300 entrants also receive a t-shirt and first 500 a show bag packed with goodies from companies such as Grill’d Southland, Colgate and Mars.

  • On the day registration will be available via QR code at the event (Late entry prices). But it is best to sign up in advance to secure your spot and a t-shirt and a showbag.

  • The registration tent will open at 7.15am on race day (Saturday 2nd March). Please bring your registration confirmation with you.

  • You can wear whatever swimwear is most comfortable for you. And yes, wetsuits are an excellent choice.

    As part of your registration you will receive a Jolyn swim cap (these swim caps are the best!) and you will be expected to wear this for your race as it identifies your age group.

  • Yes, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in each event/age category will receive a prize. Prizes include cash, vouchers and products.

  • Tomato Timing will be working with us again this year so your results will be available online following the event.

  • There are three public toilets adjoining the Half Moon Bay Lifesaving Club that will be open and available. There is a public shower at the top of the beach ramp.

    We will also provide portable toilets as additional facilities on race day.

  • We will have a photographer capturing all the special moments of the day. These will be available on our social media following the event.

  • Limited (paid/permit) parking is available in the Half Moon Bay carpark.

    There is parking available in surrounding streets - please take note of street signage.

  • There will be a re-fueling station at the finish line with water and fruit.

    The best fish and chips in Melbourne will be available for purchase from the Cerberus Beach House Kiosk all day. They also sell a range of drinks and treats. See their website if you want to plan your meal ahead of time: https://cerberusbeachhouse.com.au/kiosk/#menu

  • This year we are very fortunate to have the Great Ocean Wetsuit 8 week training program to guide you through the ultimate race preparation. The training sessions are made available weekly on our socials so follow us on instagram: @cerberus_swim_classic and facebook: @cerberusclassicswim

  • We would love to partner with your business as part of this years event or future events. Please reach out to our race director at racedirector@halfmoonbayslsc.com.au

  • We recommend that you or a representative present to our registration on race day to collect your swim cap, t-shirt and showbag. If this is not possible please contact racedirector@halfmoonbayslsc.com.au to discuss your circumstances. As this is the main fundraising event for the lifesaving club and contributes to keeping our beach safe all summer, we consider your entry a donation to the club and do not offer refunds.

    We want to encourage anyone and everyone to be part of our event.

    If you have special circumstances that means you are not comfortable entering the water with your age group then let us know!
