Race Information
Entry and payment
Event entry and payment to be made via website up until 3pm on 24th February. Postal or telephone entries are not available. Entry can be made on the day only if maximum competitor numbers have not been reached. So register online early to avoid disappointment and the additional cost.
If entering on the day, please allow sufficient time in case of delays. Cheques will not be accepted. Please bring correct money as change may not be available.
Entries cannot be cancelled or transferred. No refunds available

Registration
- Opens at 08:00 am
- Closes 30 minutes prior to start of each race
- Present your receipt to registration area at Half Moon Bay Lifesaving Club rooms
- Collect timing band, receive race numbering, swim cap and Cerberus Swim Classic T-shirt

Marshalling
- Race briefing will be given 30 minutes prior to each event.
- Race officials will marshal competitors 15 minutes prior to the start of each event.
- Each of the events will start and finish on the beach.
- Times may vary on the day so make sure you are ready early so that you don’t miss your start.

Race Rules
General (applies to all events):
- Event officials shall have authority to disqualify any competitor at their discretion. Decisions are final and not subject to appeal
- Competitors must follow the directions of any race officials
- Competitors must follow the course as described. Failing to do so may result in disqualification
- Race officials have the ultimate and final authority to remove a competitor from the race if the competitor is to be judged physically incapable of continuing the race w.
- The spirit of friendly competition should be maintained throughout the event.
- Event organisors have the right to accept, reject or cancel entries.
- Protests must be made in writing and given to the Race Director within 15 minutes of the event.
- All decisions of the Race Director will be final.
- Competitors are responsible for returning ankle transponder to a representative of Half Moon Bay Surf Life Saving Club. A $100 fee will be charged for each transponder not returned. It is the responsibility of competitors to ensure the transponder is securely fastened to them prior to entering the water.
Swimming
- No extraneous aids are permitted. This includes, but not limited to, fins, boards, snorkels, flotation gear and personal support teams or escorts.
- Wetsuits are permitted.
- Goggles are recommended but are not mandatory.
- Swimmers will be required to have an official race number on their hand which must remain on throughout the event.
- No swimmer will be recorded as a finisher unless carrying the official race number.
- Swimmers are required to wear the official race cap provided at registration.
- Swimmers must be present during presentations to be eligible for random draw prizes.
- Swimmers must have official race number clearly visible at finish line.
Running
- Runners must follow the course as described.
- Overtake a competitor only when safe to do so (some parts of run course are narrow)
Paddling
- Paddlers must follow the course as described (direction determined on race day).
- Deliberate ramming or colliding with a competitor may result in disqualification.
